Ali Forney Center—the biggest not-for-income firm in the United States that supports homeless LGBTQ+ youths by giving them with obtain to health care services and shelter—is increasing revenue for its functions by auctioning off a Pride brick.

Dubbed ‘The Queer Brick’ and weighing at 4.5 lbs ., the item was hand-painted by Black queer arms and has historic importance. ‘Pride was a riot’ is printed on the piece and a popular quotation by legendary drag queen and activist Marsha P. Johnson seems on the reverse aspect. The format of the Pleasure brick remembers the first brick thrown at the Stonewall uprising—an party that was fundamental in the homosexual liberation motion.

100% of the proceeds from The Queer Brick will go towards supporting the steps of the Ali Forney Centre. Folks can also opt-in for unique prints.
